It helps to say which phone you're on and what you tapped just before it went wrong.

COMMON QUESTIONS

HOW DO I JOIN SOMEONE'S HOUSEHOLD?

Ask them to send the link (Settings › Invite & phones), or to read you the household code. Tap the link, or type the code on the welcome screen. Say whether you're permanent staff or temporary cover, pick your name and tap KNOCK. Someone already in the household gets a KNOCK KNOCK! card and lets you in.

NOBODY'S LETTING ME IN

Knocks show on the household's tally screen, and as a notification on iPhones with reminders switched on. Give them a nudge. A knock lasts a day, so if it's been longer, knock again.

I'M GETTING A NEW IPHONE

Before you switch: on the old phone go to Settings › This phone and tap Sign in with Apple under KEEP IT SAFE. On the new phone, open Cat Fibs and tap Sign in with Apple under NEW IPHONE? on the welcome screen. If you've already switched, just knock again from the new phone and someone at home can let you in.

REMINDERS AREN'T ARRIVING

Check you've added feeding times (Settings › Feeding times) and that notifications are on for Cat Fibs in your iPhone's Settings › Notifications. Reminders only come if no food has been logged within 30 minutes of a feeding time, so a quiet phone may just mean the cats have been fed. While you're on holiday, only the cover gets them.

HOW DO I SET UP A CAT SITTER?

Settings › Going on holiday? Pick your dates and tap BOOK IT, then INVITE COVER to send them a link. They can feed and log tins, but can't change your cats, your settings or who's in the household. They're signed out automatically when you're home.

I LOGGED A TIN BY MISTAKE

Tap UNDO on the message straight after, or UNDO next to the tin in today's tin log. Forgot to log one? CAT-CH UP under the log lets you add a tin or kibble for today or yesterday.

CAN I USE IT WITHOUT AN IPHONE?

Yes. The web version at catfibs.com/app works in any phone's browser and shares the same households. Reminders and the custom app icons are iPhone only.

HOW DO I DELETE MY ACCOUNT?

Settings › This phone › DELETE MY ACCOUNT, then tap again to be sure. Your phone leaves every household, and if you were the last one in, the household goes too. More on the privacy page.

THE APP SAYS THERE'S A NEW VERSION

Update Cat Fibs in the App Store, then open it again. Nothing you've logged is lost.
